Many new GREAT things!

Lots to update everyone on! Jenny and Branden have some big news to share! They were engaged on September 16th, 09. Right now they've set a tentative date of June 11, 2011.

Kristin began a new journey in her career. She resigned from Auburn Home in September and returned to the Lighthouse at Waconia as the Director of Wellness. She has assumed the role of nurse manager and assists in managing the nursing staff, directing cares for about 85 residents, and evaluating the entire process each day. She stays very busy in this position, but it's a position she's thoroughly enjoying. Kristin and her boyfriend Mike took a weekend vacation up to the North Shore Sept 11-13th and had a wonderful time.

Karen has been working per usual and we began getting everything ready for winter. Cannot believe we had our first snowfall on October 12th! She enjoys occasional weekends up in Aitkin when her friend Linda comes into town. She's been attending a knitting group through friends twice a month and enjoys the company. Scrapbooking of course is still always on the agenda!

Mikey is still working hard as well!

Hope this finds everyone well!

June update

Many things have gone on for us this month.

Jenny and her boyfriend Branden headed to Orlando, FL on June 24th and returned just yesterday on the 29th. They swam with the dolphins at Discovery Cove, Jenny got to swim with the sharks at Sea World while Branden stood by and watched her descend into the cage which brought her face to face with sand tigers, nurse sharks, black-tipped sharks, white-tipped sharks and sandbar sharks. The also had a mini-golf outing, shopped at the outlet malls, went to Ron Jon's Surf Shop and soaked up alot of sun and heat! (I will post some pictures as soon as we get them scanned).

Mikey and Karen just celebrated their birthdays. For Karen's we just had a family dinner on the grill. Mikey invited friends and family out to the Mediterranean Cruise Cafe in Burnsville for an entertaining evening of food and belly dancing.

As for the involuntary renovation of the house, it's DONE! What's left is to move all the furniture back into place in the dining area and small living room. The demo crew will be back to move as it was figured into the insurance claim. Thank goodness as it will take a long time to go through the remaining boxes of items that has accumulated over 21 years in the house :) Nothing like 'summer cleaning' and a good way to pitch unwanted items and items that we were unaware that we even had! I will post pictures of the house after everything is put in it's place and it's a bit cleaner....the living room has been a large closet for the past 2 months!

Beautiful

Just wanted to share a beautiful picture that Kristin took at the Como Zoo at their butterfly exhibit this past weekend.

Welcome

As a family, we will update this site with anything new going on. Please feel free to check back as often as you like or as little, doesn't matter to us! But we wanted a fun way to keep everyone on the same page instead of boring mass emails!
